AAUW: Loess Hills Branch of Iowa

Breaking through barriers for women and girls!

Thank you for visiting the Loess Hill's Branch of the American Association of University Women.  Our local organization is based in the beautiful Loess Hills of western Iowa, specifically in the Council Bluffs area.  The goal of AAUW is to break through educational and economic barriers so that all women have a fair chance.

AAUW describes itself as "a nationwide, nonpartisan community that uses its influential network to disseminate information, raise awareness, and effect change on women's issues," including fair pay, providing grants and fellowships, legal advocacy against sexual discrimination and assault, research on issues related to women and girls, and community activism.

We welcome you to learn more about us and to join us at any of our events!  Anyone, no matter gender, age, race, creed, sexual orientation, origin, nationality, or class may join as long as he or she holds an associates degree (or equivalent) or higher from an accredited college or university.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact branch webmaster Stephanie Miller via e-mail at samiller0176 (at) gmail (dot) com
